Limited Term Instructor
Drue Robinson (Fairhaven College '89), has been teaching theatre for 20 years. She received her MFA from Columbia University in NYC, where she was honored with a Shubert Fellowship, and privileged to work with such greats as Anne Bogart, Kristin Linklater, Andre Serban, and members of SITI Company. While in NYC, her raucous translation of Aristophanes' Lysistrata was read by more than 600 groups worldwide, on 03/03/03, as part of the Lysistrata Project's act of theatrical dissent - opposing the US bombing of Iraq. She thrills to teach Viewpoints, acting, playwrighting, improv, and anything related to performance. She is the artistic director of the Bellingham Children's Theatre, which she started in 1994, and for which she has received a Mayor's Arts Award, and a Whatcom Foundation Grant. She is also founder of the Viewpoints Theatre Ensemble, and is developing the World Intergenerational Theatre Institute. A member of Dramatists Guild of America, Drue is published by Playscripts Inc.
