“While this would never keep me from education, every little bit helps trendously!"

I have always loved being involved in a number of activities. As a result I am and have always been driven to find time for each and every one of my passions. I am passionate about education, dance, helping others, and the environment, among many other things. All of this has inspired me to reach above and beyond myself, to try and spread my passion and to aid others.

As the daughter of a single mother with Multiple Sclerosis, this scholarship plays a big role in funding my education. Although my mother has always made sure that I had everything I needed, paying for college was always accepted as my own responsibility. This scholarship is so incredibly helpful to me. I am forever grateful for this contribution as it will allow me to enjoy every second of my final year at Western rather than worrying about finances.

When not studying I love to read, go to the lake, spend time with family and friends, watch anything by Joss Whedon and dance!

My mother has taught me a great deal about life and learning to appreciate every day. This past year, I also lost one of my closest friends which once again emphasized to me the beauty and importance of each and every day. Together these two wonderful, loving people have led me to the conclusion that time is limited here which has only motivated me further to love as much as possible and to make every day count.
