"It has been a huge blessing to me and motivated me to continue to work hard and not give up on my academic career and my dreams!"

I have a passion for people. There is something about being around people in positions of leadership that give me energy and motivation. It takes a lot of spirit to be a leader, but so much growth happens, inside you and through you. I think it is so fulfilling to be a leader and be involved in people's lives and I know it is something I want to do for the rest of my life.

Receiving this scholarship has been a huge blessing to me! Knowing how long it takes to earn money from a minimum wage job and babysitting for families, it makes me all the more grateful to accept this money for college. It has made me think, for the first time, that later in my life as WWU alumni, I too can help other students like me by giving back to the university for scholarship purposes.

When I'm not studying, I like to spend time with friends drinking coffee, exploring the outdoors, taking photos, listening to music, singing, playing piano, studying the Bible, eating, or whatever the day unfolds!

The impact of this scholarship has encouraged me to continue developing my passions. Being a leader shows that you are actively pursuing your goals and growing, which for me means I will push myself to expand my photography and design skills, and the way I love and care for people. It is a great reminder that people are always looking up to you, as you look up to others, and to always put your best foot forward!
