‚ÄúThank you for granting me this scholarship and all of the opportunities that come along with it.”

As I was looking into the cost of attending Western Washington University, it became clear to me that I would need to do whatever I could to help lower my cost of tuition in order to be able to attend. As I was looking through the scholarship page on the WWU website, I came across the Alumni Association Scholarship for Undergraduate Students and it seemed like a really great fit for me.

This scholarship has lifted some of the weight of paying tuition off of my shoulders. It has made me feel more confident not only in my ability to fund my schooling, but also in my ability to do well in all of my classes.

This last year I lived and served AmeriCorps in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This experience of living on my own and figuring out how to make my own way in the world has really helped to shape me into the person that I am today.

When I am not studying or working I enjoy reading, grabbing coffee with a friend, drawing, taking photos, and figure skating. All of these things help me to decompress and remind me how fun life can be.
