Research Areas: Surface Structures
Education:
Postdoctoral Fellow, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada (2003-2005)
Ph.D., Freie Universität Berlin, Germany (2002)
Diploma, Universität Halle, Germany (1997)
Research Interests:
My research is focused on the fabrication and characterization of nanostructures and ultrathin films on surfaces. Currently I am looking at the self-assembly of amino acids on graphite templates using Scanning Tunneling Microscopy, I am interested in the morphology and electronic/magnetic properties of thin metallic films grown on metal substrates using Electron Diffraction under Ultra-High Vacuum conditions.
