The Asia University America Program offers an intensive English language and
orientation program to students from Asia University, Tokyo, Japan. The
program has eight (8) general goals:
- To develop students' communicative control of spoken English.
- To develop students' reading and writing skills.
- To orient students to American life and culture.
- To familiarize students with social, polictical and cultural
develoments in American studies.
- To give students a general understanding of global issues.
- To provide students with a physical education program in an American
setting.
- To develop students' intercultural awareness, understanding and
communication skills.
- To provide students with opportunities to interact with Americans in a
wide range of communicative situations.
