Personal Safety Information
1. Lock your room or apartment
2. Carry a small amount of cash or traveler’s checks
3. After dark stay in groups
4. For an escort (Green Coat) call x3555. Tell them your
(1) name,
(2) campus address and phone number,
(3) where you are on campus,
(4) where you would like to go
5. Shuttle Bus (in evening)- 7pm-12am every 30 minutes from campus to Haggans except at 10pm. See Residential Community Handbook page 45-46.
6. Safety Whistles & Emergency Contact Cards (AUAP Cell Phone)
7. Bicycles:
a. Register it with the campus police
b. Always lock it up with a good lock
8. Make a list with serial numbers of your valuable property, especially computers
9. Report crimes to
(1) the University Police at x3555,
(2) your Resident Advisor or Director, and
(3) your IPA or Student Services Coordinator
10. Take Passport, I-20, & I-94 with you when off-campus, e.g.
Greyhound Bus Station, in Seattle, or in Canada)
11. For emergencies call 911 (off campus police) or
3911 (for campus police)
12. While traveling follow the above safety rules
