Since 1979, Western Washington University and Asia University of Tokyo,
Japan, have jointly sponsored a number of international educational
programs, including faculty exchanges, student exchanges, summer English
language institutes, and most recently the WWU-Asia University America
Program (AUAP) -- a five-month study abroad program for Asia University
students.
One of Asia University's most successful programs is their "Freshmen
English Program" in Tokyo. The purpose of this program is to improve the
communicative competence of Asia University students, as well as motivate
them and promote a positive attitude toward learning English and
communicating with foreigners.
Asia University annually recruits lecturers for their Freshmen English
Program, and AUAP staff have been authorized to screen and recommend
qualified candidates (individuals who currently hold or will soon
complete a Master's Degree) for teaching positions in the Freshmen
English Program at Asia University.
We are interested in discussing this opportunity with students who have
recently completed or will soon complete a Master's Degree in an
appropriate field.
