Western Washington University offers a four-year comprehensive program in Winds and Percussion. Students have the opportunity to study with our world-class faculty in one of the Northwest's most picturesque settings.

The Performing Arts Center overlooks Bellingham Bay and is the hub for countless opportunities to experience music. Music majors sharpen their performance skills through a rigorous course of study that involves solo, chamber and large ensemble settings.

Students pursuing majors outside the College of Fine and Performing Arts have the opportunity to audition for all of the ensembles at Western and are greatly encouraged to do so.

We also have opportunities such as the Viking Band and Viking Basketball Band. These ensembles play a vital role in the cultivation of school spirit and put our musicians "center-stage" at some of the most exciting sporting events in the Northwest.
