About Me
I am a Professor of Biology at Western Washington University. Before coming to WWU, I was a postdoctoral research associate in Bob Denno's lab in the Entomology Department at the University of Maryland, College Park. I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, and have been fascinated with the lives of insects since childhood. In addition to my research on insect ecology and evolutionary biology, I enjoy insect macrophotography, and am working on a photographic field guide to the insects of the region
Courses
I teach core courses in ecology (Biol. 325 and 326) and evolutionary biology (Biol. 432), as well as elective courses such as entomology (Biol. 462) and a core graduate course (Biol. 525). Click on the link for more information
