Intramural Baking Contest
The WWU Intramural program is holding its first ever baking competition! To enter the contest, submit your baked goods at the Rec Center on February 18, when finalists will be selected to compete in a final bake-off with fabulous prizes at stake!
The only requirement for the contest is your baked dessert must contain a red fruit. For more information on the contest, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sign up for our First Step program
First Step is a program tailored for individuals looking to get more movement in their lives but may not know how or where to start. First Step is free to all students and faculty/staff Rec Center members.
Each participant gets a free movement assessment from a certified personal trainer and three follow up sessions geared towards the individual. First Step creates a program that is personal to the individual and designed to keep activity in their lives.

- Question: I'm taking a PE class at the Rec Center. Do I still need to bring my ID card?
- Answer: Yes, your Western Card is required for entry every time you visit the Rec Center. If you are participating in a PE class but you are not a Rec Center member, please see a front desk staff member for assistance.
