The Wade King Student Recreation Center features a 25 yard, six lane pool with activity area as well as a relaxing 32-person spa. The pool temperature is set at 81°F and the spa temperature at 101°F.
Equipment available for member use includes: towels, kickboards, pull buoys, water aerobics belts and dumbbells, noodles, lifejackets, inner tubes, etc.
Goggles are available for purchase at the Equipment Desk.
While classes are in session, the pool opens 30 minutes after the building opens and closes one hour before the building closes. At least two lanes will be open for lap swim at all times.
Winter Quarter (January 6 through March 20) pool hours are:
- Monday-Thursday: 6:30am - 11:00pm
- Friday: 6:30am - 9:00pm
- Saturday: 8:30am - 7:00pm
- Sunday: 10:30am - 8:00pm
Note: The Student Recreation Center Pool is closed on Sunday, February 1 due to emergency maintenance.

A minimum of two lanes will be available for lap swim whenever the pool is open, depending on scheduled activities.

Note: Beginning September 8 and continuing through Fall and Winter Quarters, from 2:45pm-5:00pm on Monday through Friday, the Bellingham School District swim teams will use four lap lanes. Two lap lanes will remain open for Student Recreation Center members.

Please note that availability is limited and classes fill up quickly. Your spot in a class is not reserved until both the registration form and payment are received.
The Student Recreation Center swimming pool is available for rentals by university and outside groups during limited times throughout the year.
