Climbing Wall - Classes
We are pleased to offer a variety of climbing classes at the Wade King Student Recreation Center for climbers of all abilities!
Check out the descriptions for the various climbing classes we offer below. If you have any questions about a particular class, feel free to ask the rock wall staff.
Class Descriptions
Learn to Lead
Come learn the basics of lead climbing from both Outdoor Center and Rec Center staff. Bring a harness, shoes and belay device if you have it, all other gear will be provided. Must already have a belay card from the rock wall.
Time: 7:00pm
Winter Quarter Class Dates: January 23, February 20, March 13

Wall Orientation Workshop
The goal of this course is to provide the student with the necessary skills to climb safely at the wall using top ropes. The class covers policies and procedures, equipment, tying in, climbing commands, belaying and safety. Equipment rental and belay certification is included in the cost of the workshop. Ask an attendant how to sign up!
Cost: $20 - Minimum class size: 6 people

Take your climbing to new heights with our personalized training. For all ages and all abilities. We can adjust this program to fit your needs! Lesson can be scheduled at anytime.
