The Wade King Student Recreation Center offers numerous opportunities for you to raise or keep your current fitness level. Whether you want a one-on-one session with a personal trainer, to experience the many group fitness classes such as pilates, yoga, martial arts, or strength training, you will find many opportunities to maintain or increase your level of physical health and wellness at the Student Recreation Center.
The Student Recreation Center features two cardio workout areas with a wide array of equipment, two group fitness rooms and a three-lane indoor track on the second floor as well as a state-of-the art weight room on the first floor!

X Pass Group Fitness
The X Pass is a social and fun way to never get bored with your fitness routine. These group fitness classes allow participants to follow repetitive strength and cardio conditioning routines.
The X Pass provides flexibility, multiple options and unlimited access. All X Pass classes are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Participating capacities are based on room size, the availability of equipment and instructor discretion.
The X Pass is good for any classes on the schedule posted below. Show your pass to the instructor prior to class, and have fun!
The cost for an X Pass for Fall Quarter is $45. Purchase yours at the Student Recreation Center front desk!
Convenient pocket-size printed class schedules are available for free at the Student Recreation Center front desk and other various locations in the facility.
If you are busy and can't commit to a quarter-long group fitness schedule, then you can purchase a $5 drop-in pass. This is good for any of the X Pass group fitness classes.
Just purchase your pass at the Student Recreation Center front desk and show the receipt to your instructor!
Free Fitness Week
Formerly called Demo Week, at the start of each quarter, the Student Recreation Center holds a Free Fitness Week. All classes are free during Demo Week! We don’t want you to buy a service you’ve never experienced, so this is a great opportunity to try out any of the classes we offer for free! Our Free Fitness Week for Fall Quarter took place from September 28 to October 4.
Remember, during this week all the classes will be very crowded, but please be patient as everyone is getting the opportunity to experience our programs. The second week of classes is always calmer.
By the second week of classes either you need to have purchased an X Pass and show it for admittance into all X Pass classes, or have purchased a $5 single-use drop-in pass.

Designed for the busy student or staff member, as part of our Fitness Express program we offer a selection of group fitness classes which are shorter and free to particiate in all quarter long! Here is a listing of our Fitness Express classes being offered for Fall Quarter:

Among our wide array of group fitness classes, we are pleased to offer frequent Zumba classes at the Student Recreation Center. Zumba is an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness-party.
Zumba Fitness classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. It’s easy to do, effective and totally exhilarating, often building a deep-rooted community among returning students.

- Lines will not be allowed to form outside the classrooms until 30 minutes prior to the start of class.
- Please note that absolutely no refunds will be given at any time.
- X Passes are non-transferable.

One of our newest pieces of equipment at the Student Recreation Center is the Synrgy360 training hub located in the cardio workout area on the second floor. The Synrgy360 can help users of any fitness level achieve a variety of a goals, such as cardiovascular endurance, strength, coordination, agility and more! We are also excited to offer the following group fitness class in the second floor West Cardio area to showcase all of the activities possible with the Synrgy360:
Snyrgy360 Circuit Training Class
Class description: An intense but fun full-body circuit training workout. Train in a small group with a certified personal trainer utilizing our state-of-the-art Synrgy360 training system. Train with kettlebells, TRX suspension trainers, bodyweight movements, cable pulleys, battling ropes, and more. Modifications can be made for any fitness level and workout is self-paced. The class limited to 15 participants to maintain low student-to-instructor ratio.
Fall Quarter Class Times:
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00pm-4:55pm (X Pass or $5 drop-in pass required)

Orientations are available by appointment only on Mondays and Thursdays from 1:00pm to 9:00pm and Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
