The Wade King Student Recreation Center offers numerous opportunities for you to raise or keep your current fitness level. Whether you want a one-on-one session with a personal trainer, to experience the many group fitness classes such as pilates, yoga, martial arts, or strength training, you will find many opportunities to maintain or increase your level of physical health and wellness at the Student Recreation Center.
The Student Recreation Center features two cardio workout areas with a wide array of equipment, two group fitness rooms and a three-lane indoor track on the second floor as well as a state-of-the art weight room on the first floor!

X Pass Group Fitness
The X Pass is a social and fun way to never get bored with your fitness routine. These group fitness classes allow participants to follow repetitive strength and cardio conditioning routines.
The X Pass provides flexibility, multiple options and unlimited access. All X Pass classes are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Participating capacities are based on room size, the availability of equipment and instructor discretion.
The X Pass is good for any classes on the schedule posted below. Show your pass to the instructor prior to class, and have fun!
The cost for an X Pass for Spring Quarter has been reduced to $30! Purchase yours at the Student Recreation Center front desk today!
Convenient pocket-size printed class schedules are available for free at the Student Recreation Center front desk and various locations throughout the facility.
If you are busy and can't commit to a quarter-long group fitness schedule, you can purchase a $5 drop-in pass. This is good for a single visit to any group fitness class on the X Pass schedule.
Just purchase your pass at the Student Recreation Center front desk and show the receipt to your instructor!
Free Fitness Week
Formerly called Demo Week, at the start of each quarter, the Student Recreation Center holds a Free Fitness Week. All classes are free to try during Free Fitness Week! We don’t want you to buy a service you’ve never experienced, so this is a great opportunity to try out any of the classes we offer for free! Our Free Fitness Week for Spring Quarter took place from April 4 to 10.
Remember, during this week all the classes will be very crowded, but please be patient as everyone is getting the opportunity to experience our programs. The second week of classes is always calmer.
By the second week of classes either you need to have purchased an X Pass and show it for admittance into all X Pass classes, or have purchased a $5 single-use drop-in pass.

Spring Quarter Self Defense Fitness Class
In collaboration with our Faculty/Staff Wellness program, we are offering a self-defense fitness class for students during Winter Quarter!
This classwill help participants understand when and how to defend themselves from an assault. An emphasis will be placed on conditioning the body to withstand the demands of both sport competition and street-effective personal safety.
This class is seperate from our X Pass class offerings. The cost to participate is $35 for the quarter. Click here to get more information or sign up.

Among our wide array of group fitness classes, we are pleased to offer frequent Zumba classes at the Student Recreation Center. Zumba is an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness-party.
Zumba Fitness classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. It’s easy to do, effective and totally exhilarating, often building a deep-rooted community among returning students.

- Lines will not be allowed to form outside the classrooms until 30 minutes prior to the start of class.
- Please note that absolutely no refunds will be given at any time.
- X Passes are non-transferable.

One of our newest pieces of equipment at the Student Recreation Center is the Synrgy360 training hub located in the cardio workout area on the second floor. The Synrgy360 can help users of any fitness level achieve a variety of a goals, such as cardiovascular endurance, strength, coordination, agility and more! Orientations are available by appointment only on Mondays and Thursdays from 1:00pm to 9:00pm and Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
