Campus Recreation Services provides Intramural Sports as an opportunity for current students, faculty and staff as well as current students from university affiliates such as Whatcom Community College and Bellingham Technical College to compete in a variety of organized competitive sports on the campus of Western Washington University. These programs exist to provide our participants with opportunities in:
- Personal development in a variety of programs of leisure activity
- Social interaction and the development of lasting relationships
- Leadership skills in directing group participation
- Voluntary participation, regardless of ability level, in an safe community
- Establishing positive attitudes toward recreational activity to carry with them past graduation
Fall Quarter Intramurals
During Fall Quarter we are pleased to offer the following intramural sports as ongoing leagues during the quarter:
- Flag Football
The fee to participate in our intramural sport leagues covers the entire team. For Fall Quarter, our flag football, soccer and volleyball intramural leagues cost $70 per team to join.
Special Events and Tournaments
In addition to our ongoing sport leagues, we are also offering the following events and tournaments throughout Fall Quarter:
- Pokemon Go event - September 26-28
- KanJam tournament - October 2
- Bubble soccer tournament - October 16
- Basketball Hoop Jam event - November 6
- Spikeball tournament - November 20
- Tchoukball tournament - October 23
The pricing for our special events and tournaments are as follows: Bubble soccer is $40 per team, KanJam, Tchoukball and Spikeball are $20 per team, the Hoop Jam event is $10 per person, and Pokemon Go is free. An All-Tournament Challenge pass is available for $10 per person for anyone interested in competing in every tournament during Fall Quarter.

The deadline to sign up for Fall Quarter intramurals and the All-Tournament Challenge is 5 p.m. on Friday, October 7. Games will begin the following week. How to Sign Up
Sign-ups for all intramural sports at WWU are done through the website IMLeagues.com. Once your team is signed up on IMLeagues.com, you must complete the process by paying for your team. We now only accept payment by credit or debit card, which can be done via the IMLeagues website. Participants of intramural sports at WWU should familiarize themselves with the following documents:

- Acknowledgement of Risk and Hold Harmless Agreement (Must be signed prior to participation)
Note: If your intramural team has games scheduled in the Student Recreation Center, non-members will have to pay for a single day pass or purchase a membership in order to enter the facility.
