Emily Kunz, Class of 2014
Major: Kinesiology: Pre-Healthcare Professions Specialization
My advice to all Western students would be to get involved on campus as much as possible
Kelsey Guy, Class of 2013
Major: Human Services
During my time at Western, I managed to achieve everything I needed on campus.
Taryn Hoover, Class of 2011
Minor: English, Political Science
I am currently employed as a Program Manager for the Bureau of Education and Research. I serve as an on-site manager for professional development seminars, which occur daily. These seminars are also in a different major U.S. city every day, which means I spend most of my time traveling around the country. I've had the opportunity to visit over thirty states in the past year, and I recently used my vacation time to travel to South Africa.
Chloe MacNaughton, Class of 2012
Major: Business Administration
Currently employed in San Francisco with Ernst & Young as an ITRA Consultant
During my time at Western, I had two internships, held two leadership positions in clubs, was elected by faculty to be in a leadership group, and made many, many amazing friends. The opportunities are endless at WWU, a diverse group of students, amazing faculty and staff, as well as more than enough resources to succeed. Take advantage of it!
Amanda McIntosh, Class of 2012
Concentration: Public Relations
I graduated in March 2012 with a degree in journalism with a public relations concentration. I recently started a paid internship with Trupanion a pet insurance company in Seattle. The job involves a lot of digital marketing and search engine optimization, something I've never learned before and not directly related to what I studied at Western, but I am really enjoying it!
Abiola Akanni, Class of 2010
Major: Law, Diversity and Justice
Minor: Political Science
Man, how a year flies by once you graduate! It seems as if it were just yesterday that I was walking through Red Square, catching up with old friends while making new ones.
Patricia Harvey, Class of 2011
Minor: Business Administration
I obtained a business internship with NISH, which is a nationwide nonprofit. I worked for the Northwest branch which is located in Seattle. In the summer of 2011 the Northwest Region employed four interns in marketing, business development, and contract management.
Amy Denton, Class of 2011
Major: General Studies
Focus in Humanities and Education
I was connected to Compass 2 Campus through my professor from Communication 416: Conference & Event Planning. At the time I thought I might like event planning but had never considered it as a career before. After spending a quarter learning all that goes into planning various kinds of events, planning a mock wedding, and participating in a service learning project where each group planned a small event I took my new knowledge and fresh experience to my Event Planning Internship with Compass 2 Campus.
Daman Wandke, Class of 2011
Major: Business Administration
Minor: Internet Resource Creation
I found my internship at NASA through a program called the American Association for the Advancement of Science Entrypoint program.
