At the Interview


  • Start with a good handshake; introduce yourself

  • Maintain eye contact with all panelists

  • Speak clearly

  • Make sure that you know everybody's name and that you pronounce them correctly

  • Control nervous habits, fidgeting

  • Remember:
    -The interview panelists often may make their decision within the first three to five minutes of the interview!
    -Your rapport with the panel and your communication skills are key
    -Use your 30-second "elevator" pitch to promote your qualifications and assets
    -Have questions to ask (think of new ones if needed)
    -Make a strong impression!
