Dan Boxberger, Anthropology, was appointed to the Fulbright Specialists Roster for 2010-2015, and is serving as a Resident Scholar at the University of Arizona, School of Anthropology.

Kathleen Saunders, Anthropology, received the College of Humanities and Social Sciences 2009/10 Ronald Kleinknecht Excellence in Teaching Award

Jonathan Miran, Liberal Studies,was appointed as Senior Visiting Fellow at the Institute of Advanced Studies, University of Bologna.

Petra Fiero, Modern and Classical Languages, Petra Fiero was one of four recipients of the 2010 American Association of Teachers of German/Goethe-Institute Certificate of Merit for outstanding achievement in furthering the teaching of German in schools of the United States.

Hud Hudson, Philosophy, Hud Hudson received the 2009 Excellence in Philosophy of Religion Prize for “Omnipresence” published in The Oxford Handbook of Philosophy Theology.

Dennis Whitcomb, Philosophy, Dennis Whitcomb received the 2010 Young Philosophers Prize for “Grounding Precludes Omniscience” awarded by SUNY Fredonia, and the 2010 Younger Scholars Prize in Philosophical Theology for “Grounding and Omniscience” awarded by the editorial board of Oxford Studies in Philosophy of Religion.

Keith Russell, Physical Education, Health & Recreation, Keith Russell received the Distinguished Research Award for 2010 from the International Association for Experiential Education.
