Sociology

Courses in the Department of Sociology are designed to provide students with a greater understanding of basic social structures and processes, as well as in-depth knowledge of particular subareas within the discipline—Family and the Life Course, Law/Crime/Deviance, Population Studies, and Social organizations/Social Inequality.
