Q:
I wanna know
what could having a bloody nose cause you to sometimes cough up blood in
any way.
A:
Bleeding in
the upper nasopharynx will sometimes drain down the back of the throat,
and then you cough up the bloody phlegm. If you don't think the blood you
are coughing up is from your nose, then we need to see you to evaluate if
it is coming from your lungs. Recurrent nosebleeds always need evaluation.
