Q:

What happens if, during a week of having the patch on, it starts to come off or lose its stickiness? Should you put on a new one? just leave it alone? or maybe use medical tape or something adhesive to keep the edge from peeling away from the skin? Thank you!

A:

Hi, good question

You should try to reapply the same patch by pressing down firmly on it with the palm of your hand for 10 seconds, and then run your fingers around the edges of it. Don't use tapes to hold it on. If it still won't stick, you should take it off and apply a new patch. You then take off the new patch on your regular patch change day. Don't try to reapply the old patch if it is no longer sticky, or if it is stuck to itself, or has completely fallen off.

When you are applying your new patches, be sure that the skin has no creams, makeup, powders or other products on it... It should be clean and dry.

Remember to hold it in place for about 10 seconds and run your fingers around the edge.

Good luck!
