Q:

I have been on antidepressants for a long time - I have tried almost all of them. Right now I am on Cymbalta (90mg), which I know is a serotonin, norepinepharin drug and Zoloft (150mg) which I know is a serotonin drug. I have been on these for some time and have not seen much relief. I know that it is also believed that dopamine also effects depression and I am wondering what drugs effect dopamine. I have been on wellbutrin, which I know effects dopamine, but I had a lot of side effects that made it unbearable. Are there other dopamine drugs? Thanks

You may want to consider Effexor, which is another "mixed" action medication, but the best option is to sit with a psychiatrist and review your history, your medication experience and side effects. There are different combinations that might give you better relief.
