I am currently on Ortho Tri-Cyclen for help with my cramps. I am only on my first period after starting the pill but my cramps are just as horrible as before. I was wondering how long it takes to start getting the effects (i.e. acne clearing up, less cramping regularity etc.) from the pill?

It can take two to three cycles, as you likely ovulated this first cycle. So don't give up on this particular pill brand yet.
