I know you answered a question similar to this recently but I was wondering...
I'm on Nuvaring, this is my 5th month on it, I'm scheduled to take the ring out on Thursday but actually started my period today (Tuesday), after the first 2 months on Nuvaring I've had normally scheduled periods. Is there something wrong? I've ALWAYS put in the ring and taken it on at the same time each month. It may be worth to mention I occasionally take Duradrin for headaches. I've had no pregnancy symptoms but should I be worried?

If you have used the Ring correctly (kept a new ring in continuously for three weeks) it is very unlikely that you became pregnant (of course no single method is perfect). Sometimes stress or other factors can cause some period irregularity, and as long as you have used the Ring correctly, it should be working. If all else seems normal, it is reasonable just to keep using it as always, and make an appointment to discuss it if it continues next month.
