Q:
Hello,
I've been on the birth control pill for a couple of months. Often it has made me feel very nauseous throughout the day. I currently take the pill every morning but I would like to switch to taking it in the evening. My hope is that I will sleep through a lot of the symptoms. Is this practical? Will suddenly switching the time I take it effect its effectiveness? Is their a good time of month to make the switch?
Thank you!
A:
Go ahead and switch to evening dosing by taking a second pill in the evening, and then go to regular evening pills, with a little food. It does sometimes help to take it at night.
Otherwise, you should look at a pill change as not all pills cause this side effect as much as you describe.
