Q:
I'm looking at taking the pill for various reasons. Mainly to reduce my period bcuz of the extreme cramping as well as its original purpose, to prevent pregnancy. How do I a)go about getting it and b)keep it from being too expensive?
A:
Oral contraceptives are available at the Student Health Center by prescription, after having a full women's health exam by one of our women's practitioners. You can set up an appointment by calling 650-3400. The least expensive brands are generic, at $25 per month.
Alternatively, Planned Parenthood in Bellingham offers low cost contraceptives and exams.
