Is there a test that can be done to determine if someone has an intolerance of gluten?

 

A:

There are blood tests that can be helpful in the diagnosis, but are not 100% accurate for diagnosing celiac sprue which is the disease causing extreme gluten intolerance. Some individuals require an intestinal biopsy to be certain. Many people simply know from how they feel when they eat wheat products vs when they avoid them.
