Q:
I am always tired, both mentally and physically, even though I sleep 8 hours a night on a regular schedule, follow a healthy diet, and exercise. I am still finding myself so sleepy and having to take naps every day. It also seems like I suffer from colds more than most people, maybe once a month. Should I be worried or see a doctor?
A:
If this has been going on more than a month, then yes, it is worth being checked out. It is possible this could be due to a metabolic or hormonal problem, vitamin deficiency or simply stress. Without getting a comprehensive history and physical as well as lab work, it is hard to speculate why you are so fatigued.
