How long after taking antibiotics are you covered again by your birth control (deprovera shot)? I just got off taking amoxicillin last Thursday and had sex today (Tuesday), am I at risk of getting pregnant?

There is no evidence that an injected contraceptive, like Depo Provera, is affected by antibiotics. The theory is that antibiotics alter the normal bacteria in the intestine, which are important to birth control pill absorption.
