In the last couple months or so I've begun to lose pigment on my genitals. It started in small white patches and is now quite a bit larger. I also have a similar white spot under my armpit that i didn't notice until my skin in that area got tanned from traveling overseas this winter. From looking it up on the web it doesn't seem to be an STD but vitiligo and there doesn't seem like much could be done about this. I thought it would be better to check with an actual doctor instead of the web so any information would be great! thanks.

It is possible this is a fungal infection causing depigmentation rather than vitiligo. It would be best for you to come in for an evaluation so we can make a more definitive diagnosis so you know what your options are.
