So I've been having sinus pain for the past couple of months, and I donated blood today without really considering the thought that I could be sick... If I have a sinus infection should I call the blood center and ask them to toss my donation?

 

A:

No, even if you have a low grade sinus infection, your donation is still safe. There are a number of screening tests that are done to all blood donations and if those are fine, it is definitely used.
