Q:
I'm a freshman here at WWU and my roommate claims that I've been talking in my sleep a lot. At first it was just random words, but then it progressed to full arguments and last night I apparently screamed at her about being loud when she came in at 3:30 am. I don't remember any of this and I have no reason to believe that she's making it up. I used to sleepwalk when I was a kid, but i haven't in a long time and I'm not actually sleepwalking now, just terrorizing my roommate when she comes in to go to bed. What can I do?
A:
This can happen, like sleepwalking, when under considerable stress. It makes sense to review with one of the counselors at the counseling center to see if there is some way to determine what may be precipitating this sleep behavior.
