Q:
I initially went to the doctor because I had white spots on the inside of my throat and a sore throat, in addition to swollen glands. The test came back negative but the doctor gave me antibiotics anyways. I'm on the 10th day of taking them and the spots totally went away after 3 days.
I still however have a constant cough, congestion, plugged ears, and just recently woke up to my eyes being goopy, somewhat bloodshot, and hard to open in the morning.
Should I go to the doctor, or will this naturally go away?
A:
Sounds like you have a viral illness that is progressing as the antibiotics would not be helpful for that. Please call 650-3400 to set up an appointment to be examined again.
