Q:
What would a low grade (ranging 99.8 -101.8) for 3 days, total energy wipeout plus a sore throat with uncomfortable hoarse cough and a runny faucet clear snot nose developing on the 3rd day indicate?
A:
What does it indicate? Guess it sounds like you are sick!
Most likely viral upper respiratory infection but if the symptoms persist another two days or you are feeling worse, continued fever over 100.5, yellow/green/brown or bloody mucus from your nose and chest, we should evaluate to make sure there is nothing bacterial going on.
You are always welcome to talk over your symptoms with a consulting nurse on the phone during our day time hours or be seen by a triage nurse in clinic.
