Recently I have been have found dried blood in my naval along with some slight pain in the area around and below the naval. It is painful to clean out the dried blood and has an unpleasant smell. Is this a naval infection or something else I should be concerned about?

Yes, it is possible you have a bacterial infection in your umbilicus (navel).  You can do hot soaks with a rag to try to increase circulation to the area, gently use wet qtips to clean it.   If there is surrounding redness, swelling or pus drainage, we need to see you.
