Q:
I was on Minocycline for 1 year and two months for my acne, one pill once a day. I saw a doctor because I noticed the medication was becoming ineffective. I am now on Erythromicin, one pill twice a day. I still have a full bottle of Minocycline left from when I stopped using it. Should I throw the pills away? Or should I continue taking them until they are gone along with the Erythromicin? Can you take both at the same time?
A:
No, definitely don't take them both at the same time. Minocycline is apparently no longer effective for you, so it should be stopped and pills thrown into the trash. It can be dangerous if you take it when it is outdated.
