I'm female and sexually active. Recently my vaginal discharge has taken on a brownish color whether it is just during the day or before/after sex. Should I get looked at?

Brownish vaginal discharge is old blood which can be from a variety of causes--cervical injury or inflammation/infection, pregnancy, hormonal imbalance.  So it is best to be checked to sort it out.
