Q:
I was diagnosed with walking pnuemonia at the beginning of last week and I feel a lot better -- finished my antibiotics and all that jazz. But, I have this persisting cough and I keep tasting blood -- this has been going on for about the last two days. When I try and spit out the gunk I coughed up I don't see any blood though, so I'm pretty confused. I guess and was wondering if I should come in or not to get this checked out or if I should just wait it out since I don't see any blood.
A:
Give it another 2-3 days for the antibiotics to have full effect. If you are still having the blood taste, then we should recheck you before the weekend.
