I keep hearing and reading alternate things about this topic, so now I finally want to hear from the Doc.

Is it possible to get pregnant if my boyfriend fingers me and there's a little sperm on his finger? I'm concerned because I completely missed my period last month, but my pregnancy tests keep coming back negative. This is the only conceivable thing I can think of as an explanation, please help me!

The short answer? Very low risk of pregnancy if your boyfriends is inserting his finger into your vagina with semen on his finger--not a good idea from a sexually transmitted infection standpoint, not to mention the rare possibility of viable sperm. 

The long answer?  There are many reasons for late periods that include stress, hormonal changes, illness, travel, so if you are not pregnant, which it sounds like you aren't, then you should be talking to us about what might be going on for you.
