I have a lump on my neck. It is red and very sore.  It doesn't itch so I don't know if it is a bug bite. I don't remember being bitten. It has been this size for about a week or two. Should I get it checked?

Yes, you should be checked as it could be a staph bacteria infection that needs treatment.  MRSA (methicillin resistant staph aureus) can look very much like what you are describing.
