Q:
Why does it tickle when I pee?
“Tickle” is the best way I can describe it. For about a week now, every time I go to the bathroom, the urine tickles what feels like the outer part of my vagina as it comes out. This only happens when I am about to finish peeing, or if I stop for a brief moment and then continue to urinate, it will tickle. There is no pain, no burning, and this has not happened before until about a week ago. If it helps at all, I am sexually active. Could this be related to an STI? Do I have any reason to worry?
A:
This does not sound like a urinary tract infection or STI, but if it is persisting, your urine should be checked under the microscope to make sure you have no signs of inflammation or infection.
