Q:
I've been having an unusually heavy amount of sticky thick whitish/yellowish discharge from my vagina pretty much everyday. I thought it was a yeast infection but I've treated it a few times with different products and nothing has helped. It doesn't itch, smell, hurt when I pee, and I don't have any redness or sores. It's been going on for about a month now. What's up with my vagina?
A:
Without more information about your sexual exposures to infection, recent antibiotic use, other chronic medical illness, it is impossible to say why your vaginal discharge is different than usual. A microscopic examination is the only way to diagnose what it going on and determine treatment.
