This is my first quarter at Western and over the summer, I sustained 2nd and some 3rd degree burns all over my left arm due to a grease fire at work. I was wondering if there is a burn clinic or a doctor that you can refer me to around the Bellingham area. I've called my attending physician that was dealing with my regular check ups on my arm in Portland and she referred me to UW Medical Center in Seattle. Just wondering if there are any closer facilities.

The closest Burn Center is at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, but it makes sense for you to see a plastic surgeon here locally in Bellingham to assess the healing process and scarring.  We can refer you to someone if you come to clinic for an appointment at the Health Center, or you email me directly (not anonymously) using virtual.visit@wwu.edu.
