Q:
Is it a good idea to have my Cholesterol checked? If so how much would that cost at the SHC with the lab work?
A:
We recommend a cholesterol screening by age 18, the most accurate being a fasting blood specimen (12 hours overnight with nothing more than water during that time).
A full fasting lipid screen (good and bad cholesterol measurements and triglycerides) is $25.
