Q:
I've been a very avid reader for as long as I can remember. I'm 19 years old and I'm experiencing difficulty reading smaller texts, I find myself having to hold books closer to my face in order to read the words. Do I need reading glasses? And If I do, can the SHC help me with finding what magnification I need?
A:
The Health Center is unable to do eye refraction examinations so you will need to go to a local optometrist office to have that evaluated. It is quite unusual to develop this problem at your age, so it is important you have a thorough eye examination by a qualified optometrist or ophthamologist.
