Running

I run a lot, and on my last two long runs, I have been feeling a sharp twing on my left butt cheek.

Sometimes after long runs (18+ miles), directly behind my knee gets tight. What muscle is that, and how can I stretch it?

Someone told me that it isn't good to run every night. Is this true?
