Q:

I just finished up a very easy workout on the freerunner machine in the fitness center. When I stepped off the machine, my right knee felt like it wouldn't hold my weight. It doesn't hurt, but feels tingly and like I can't walk on it without falling over. What did I do, and what can I do to help it?

A:

Without any history of injury to this knee, this is a bit puzzling, and probably represents some tendon irritation from the workout. If it is persisting you will need evaluation in the clinic to assess your meniscus and ligaments, but it sounds unlikely that anything drastic has happened, but your symptoms are concerning.
