Q:

After being a vegetarian for a year, I recently began eating meat again. Are there any health concerns I should be aware of due to this abrupt change in diet? Should I start slowly or can I jump right back into including meat as a regular part of my diet with no worries?

A:

Unless you are aware of having a triglyceride or cholesterol problem, you can resume eating meat without a "phase in" transition period. There is no concern about adjusting to meat from a metabolic or digestive standpoint.
