Q:

I'm not sure if you would be able to help me with this, but I wasn't sure of how to get a hold of an athletic trainer. About two weeks ago I had ACL reconstructive surgery as well as some reconstructive surgery on my meniscus and now it is time to start physical therapy. Bellingham is new to me as well as my doctor and I don't know of any good places to go for the physical therapy I need. I was wondering if maybe you had any information about this kind of thing or a phone number/email address of anyone who might. If you could help me out I would really appreciate it. My doctor said to ask and athletic trainer, but again I don't know how to even get a hold of them and I am not an athlete for Western. Thank you for your time. I really appreciate it.

A:

You may be referred to the Athletic Training room by one of the Student Health physicians for rehab work that is necessary to regain your strength post-ACL reconstruction. We are happy to see you next week, review any information that your surgeon has provided to you and you are eligible for free visits to the training room, even though you are not a WWU athlete. See you next week!
