Since I
have been back at school from break I have been having horrible nightmares
that make me feel very depressed all day. I know that they are not real, but
this has been a problem I have been having since I was very young. Is there
anything I can do to stop having these nightmares? Thank you.
A:
It is important to look at what stressors and issues may be precipitating
the recurrence of your nightmares, so seeing a counselor at the counseling
center is a good start. Call 650-3164 for an intake appointment. If they
feel a medical treatment may be warranted, they will refer you to the
Student Health Center to one of the physician mental health care providers.
